Notes on Bessel’s Equation and the Gamma Function

We begin this note with Bernoulli’s problem, to see how Bessel’s Equation be-comes involved. We then consider Frobenius-series solutions to second-order linear differential equations with regular singular points; Bessel’s Equation is one of these.
