Basement Waterproofing We just bought a house in Beaverdale and after the rain Sunday morning it seems we might need to consult a basement waterproofing business. Some seepage where the basement floor meets the wall. Anyone have any experience with this? Any suggestions on which company to work with?

Which, now, I do not consider any basement "finished" unless you have waterproofing installed. We call BQ and get an estimate and they come out and do the works. Moisture barrier with drain system surrounding the whole basement and 1 sump pump after ripping out all drywall and doing a great job cleaning.

Good basement waterproofing is designed to divert water before it damages the foundation. I agree nothing is fool proof. However, diverting the water after it degrades the mortar joints and block foundation is backwards (which is what interior systems do).
