Hey guys, I recently got a TD Aeroplan Visa card, but I bank with BMO. I got my first statement today, and went to go pay the bill with my BMO app but couldn't find the right payee in their list. The only one I'm finding is TD Visa/GM Visa.

How do I add the NSLSC as a payee on my online banking? : r ... - Reddit

Yes. When you are searching for it on the bank's payee list use the words National Student Loan. The reference number will be your 7 digit account number. If you are nervous about making a big payment you can first do a test run of sending $1 and then make the big payment a few days later when your online account says they have received the $1.

You can deposit it at any branch and wait 28 days for it to clear (slowest of any bank in Canada). Hopefully your branch would release some of the funds earlier if you have a good relationship and sufficient balance with them.

I've recently switched banks and now my line of credit is at a different bank than where my bank account actually is. I would've thought paying it off would still be simple, the same way I send funds to my credit card, but apparently it's much more complicated. Can anyone advise how I would pay it? One option suggested is to go to the bank which holds the LOC and pay in cash every month. Yeah ...

Be careful with banking websites URLs and search engines

And the real BMO website seems to redirect all the time to weird url like www1.bmo.com and others. And I expected autocomplete to do its job, honestly I'm used to just typing a few letters + enter for most websites. It leads to what looks like the BMO's website, with the right URL and everything (included my saved card number).
